Mystic
| | The Mystic Pantheist:
An Open Letter from Robb Miller
We who have experience in the mystic realm of pantheism must be cautious to
leave the door open behind us. To close the door through intolerance or
animosity is to violate the knowledge one gains on the path and effectively
closes the door on one's self.
We must be cautious with our words to others. We should not engage in arguing
the logic of our chosen path on any level. To do so would become instantly
frustrating, for the chosen path is unexplainable by logic or rational thinking.
Other's on the mystic path may, or may not, understand the words chosen to
explain your experience. Your words are more likely to be misconstrued by those
on a separate path -- exponentially in relation to distance from the mystic
path.
Our job then as mystic, becomes to enter the realm of the other path, with
shield in good stance if necessary, and use this path's words in sharing your
knowledge. The mystic should not try to convince others of rightness or
wrongness. Craft your words carefully to allow the other, through their own
experience, in their own realm, to discover truth.
We should not try to convince others to embark on the mystic path ÷ it is not
the only true path. A world made of only mystics wold crumble as quickly as a
world made only of rationalists. We must be a part of the great cosmic dance and
strive toward balance and harmony. The mystic path will find those who wear the
shoes to walk it.
We must fight intolerance by being tolerant. We must fight arrogance with
modesty and humility. We must do this not only in our action, not only with our
words, but also in our thought. When we can do these things, invariably, we will
know we have both feet on the mystic path.
