Whispers

Whisper to me
Robb Miller

Whisper to me
This time alone has strengthened me
Body, mind and soul have rested
What I have learned within is ready to blossom

Whisper to me
Whisper the waking of spring
Whisper the song of the bird
Whisper warmth to wake my rooted friends

Whisper to me

Whisper Spring
Robb Miller

In January, I wake before the dawn when all seems cold and dead.
I find it easy to lament the fallen leaves as heroes of Octoberās red.
Lying now beneath the snow, they hold promise of Natureās artistry.
Yet the life they gave now stirs the seed that whispers spring to me.

Light returns with February and warmth seems close at hand.
I can hear birdsong in the air, vision green upon the land.
I dream the moss upon the stone, and new bud to the tree.
And I thank Nature that in her darkest hour she whispers spring to me.
